Depending on the type of university students training requirements may vary .

For The University of Amsterdam admission to universities of applied sciences Netherlands (Universities of Applied Sciences) do not need to take the entrance exams. It is enough to get passing scores IELTS or TOEFL test , and execute the necessary documents to apply to the university for 3-4 months before the start of the school year .

Academic Dutch universities (Research Universities) more demanding admissions, especially for secondary school graduates . Some universities may apply for entrance exams ( often math ) , others offer prouchitsya preparatory year.

Holders of university bachelor's and specialist degrees are accepted without examinations to magistracy both academic universities and universities of applied sciences of the Netherlands .
