Education in France

From the Ecole Supérieure Robert de Sorbon, a French registered "Etablissement d'Enseignement Supérieur Privé sans but lucratif".

(Private not for profit Institution of higher education) founded in 2004.

In 2002, France adopted the milestone Law (# 20273) of "la Validation des Acquis par l'Expérience (VAE) that authorizes public universities to grant full university degrees on experience. The VAE is not a degree but a procedure that validates the issuance of regular French Higher Education degrees, based on valuable professional experience. Private institutions may apply it according to their own criteria. See the UNESCO research about the VAE

 

We use our own VAE procedure to validate work experience in the following faculties: Arts & Sciences, Agriculture & Natural Resources, Business & Economics, Engineering, Human Resources, Education and Public Policy, Marine & Aerospace Studies, Theology.

For each major, our  "VAE Jury" is made of three highly qualified tenured professors.

Associate-Cycle universitaire de 2 ans: May be considered equivalent to a US Associate Degree  from a regionally accredited Institution of Higher education.Requirements: 6 years of work experience or completion of one year of University studies + 3 years of work experience.

Bachelor Cycle universitaire de 4 ans: May be considered equivalent to a US Bachelor Degree, a Laurea (Italy) or a Vordiplom (Germany)   from a regionally accredited institution of higher education.  The total of University studies (Regular or/and through the work experience formula) should be 4 years.
 
MA, MS, May be considered equivalent to a US Master from a regionally accredited institution of higher education as well as a UK Master Degree, Kandidate Naouk (Russia),The total of University studies (Regular or/and through the work experience formula) should be 6 Years.
 

Ph.D. : May be considered equivalent to a PhD./Dottorato/Dr. Naouk. The total of University studies (regular or through the work experience formula) should be 8 years minimum. Could be also granted through the VAE .
